| The
Kane School offers a rigorous training program to provide teachers
knowledge of the underlying principles of Pilates rather than just
the choreography or exercises. The teacher training is based on the
classical repertoire infused with a modern, clinical understanding
to explain why the exercises work to strengthen and stabilize. This
anatomy-based approach is rare and distinguishes the Kane School from
other Pilates training programs. Accordingly, the students sharpen
their manual perception skills through practicing their sense of touch
and learning how to “listen” with their hands. They also
become versed in common diagnoses as well as varied conditions such
as disk herniations, osteoporosis and pregnancy. The Kane School has
trained hundreds of Pilates instructors and its disciples can be found
throughout the United States and worldwide. |
